USA Power Supply
Can I take rechargaable items (camera batteries, toothbrush, mobile phone etc) to USA without a transformer? I do have a plug adaptor.

Most modern day electrical items are designed to work on both voltages. There should always be a label on the product with the voltage rating of the product. If you see a rating of 100 > 240v then it should work in the US without a transformer. But, if in doubt, buy a transformer for under £10.
