Can we have a children's packing list plus boy & girl they need slightly different items to male /female choice. Extra items they might need is a mattress protector. UV sunshade, specific medical stuff children's sun lotion etc...I've taken a life jacket but that might be considered a bit extra...
The water and soda suggested by tsa522000 - in the US, you'd have to purchase these items after passing thru security. Our TSA will confiscate all liquids in containers larger than 3 oz. and that don't fit into a quart size plastic bag.
If you're flying (especially in the US), send your holiday presents ahead of you via FedEx or UPS. It costs more but they can be wrapped and waiting for you at your destination. TSA won't let any wrapped packages go through in carry on luggage and I've heard of packages even in checked luggage being opened.
And if you're flying with children - please, please, please - bring treats (gum, candy, water or soda) for them on the plane since the flights are all completely full and the food service is spotty at best. Also - please - bring along some kind of entertainment for them (coloring books, ipods, story books) so they're not kicking the backs of the seats in front of them. And if they do, please make them stop!
